iFocusBand Helps PGA Golfers Performance

The iFocusBand is a wearable brain training device, composed of a headset and three neuro sensors which can be comfortably worn under a cap, visor, or any headwear.

The band can detect brain wave signals and states such as anxiety, facial tension, and field of focus. No app is needed for this technology, it can be worn stand alone with an earpiece for instant audio feedback to teach self-regulation for optimal mental states and performance, such as teaching of breathing techniques. For further analysis and visual feedback, an app is available.

The technology has been trialled with professional PGA tour golfers and other sports, but the developers say its uses extend beyond sporting performance, to business performance  in the board room, and relaxation states during daily life, helping the body to shift from an anxious to a calm state.

The iFocusBand is still in its crowd source funding stage, but if successful will be available from $245 (£147) in October 2014.
