If there’s one barrier to current sleep trackers on the market, it’s the feeling of wearing battle armour on your head to sleep. Thankfully, Beddit have developed a sensor that you place under your bed sheets, far from distracting you.
As previously discussed, getting a good night’s sleep is a major component of health and well-being, but it’s hard to track something yourself when you’re asleep. For over ten years, Beddit have been researching and developing a technology with sleep experts to track your sleep without disturbing it.
The ultra-thin sensor lies beneath your sheets and tracks your sleep quality, heart rate, breathing rhythm, movement, sleep stages, snoring, and the sleeping environment; noise level and light. When synchronised to the app you’ll also get coaching tips and guidance based on your results. It also integrates an alarm clock, designed to wake you up within a desired time frame when you are at your lightest sleep phase.
The sensor works on most types of beds including foam, memory foam, and spring though it’s not been validated for use on water beds.
You can pre-order Beddit now for $149(£90).
